Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Repurpy collects, why, and what your rights are. The data controller is Cats Build Ltd, Office 17907, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, United Kingdom, E6 2JA. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and sign-in details when you request access or sign up.
- Business details: your business name, website or social links, location, address, phone number, what you offer, your logo, colours and the tone you choose.
- Your goals: what you want to achieve, your answers about it, where people should go (your website, WhatsApp or phone number), and the replies and results you log.
- Content you give us: photos and videos you upload or capture, and the videos and captions we make from them. This can include images of you, your team or your customers.
- Billing details: your plan, subscription status and payment dates. Card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by us.
- Usage and technical data: which videos you view or share, your settings, and basic technical information such as your device, browser and IP address, used to run and secure the service.
- Messages: anything you send to our support address.
How we use it, and why
- To provide Repurpy: plan and make your videos, find people and places that fit your goals in public search results, write messages for you to send from your own apps, and run your account. We never send messages for you. (Performing our contract with you.)
- To count clicks on your goals’ short links: we record when a link was opened and whether it came from a post or a message, not who opened it. (Performing our contract with you.)
- To take payment and manage your subscription. (Contract, and our legal obligations to keep financial records.)
- To email you about your account and, once a week, what’s next for your goals. You can turn off the weekly email on the Business tab or with the unsubscribe link. (Contract and our legitimate interests.)
- To answer support requests, keep the service secure, prevent abuse and improve Repurpy. (Legitimate interests.)
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use your content to advertise to you.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the service, and they only process data on our instructions:
- Stripe, to take payments and manage subscriptions.
- Supabase, for our database and sign-in.
- Cloudflare, for file storage and for sending our emails.
- AI providers, such as OpenAI, which receive your business details, goals and content so we can plan your videos and write your messages.
- SerpApi, which runs our Google Maps and web searches when we look for people to reach. Searches contain words about your goal and your area.
- Our hosting provider, to serve the website and app.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or other people’s safety. If our business is sold or merged, your data may be transferred to the new owner under the same protections.
Videos you choose to share by link can be seen by anyone who has that link.
International transfers
Some of these providers are outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your content and account details within 30 days, except for billing records, which we must keep for up to 6 years for tax and accounting. Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.
Cookies
We use only the cookies we need to keep you signed in and the service working. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, to move it to another service, and to object to uses based on our legitimate interests. To use any of these rights email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month.
If you aren’t happy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and trusted infrastructure to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password safe.
Children
Repurpy is for businesses and isn’t meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email or in Repurpy. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
