This policy explains what information Repurpy collects, why we use it, and the choices you have when you use the app and website.

Repurpy is published by Cats Build Ltd trading as ThinkingCats (“we”, “us”, “our”). Repurpy is a mobile video app that helps you turn raw clips into polished social content through editing, captions, motion treatments, and AI-assisted visual and sound effects. This policy applies to Repurpy for iOS and Android (com.thinkingcats.catcut).
By using Repurpy, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Use. Before cloud AI analysis or generation runs, Repurpy may show an in-app consent screen explaining what is sent and which third-party providers receive it. You can browse projects without agreeing, and you can revoke AI access from Account.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we may collect your email address, a unique user identifier, and authentication credentials stored securely by our authentication provider. We do not store your password in plain text. Account sign-in is provided by Supabase.
User content
You may provide video clips, project data, effect settings, edits, and exported videos you choose to save or share. Video files and projects stay on your device; we do not sync projects to the cloud or store your video library on our servers.
Photos and videos on your device
- Import: You choose the video to edit through the system file picker or photo library. Only the selected clip is copied into the app.
- Export: A finished video is written to your photo library or shared through the system share sheet only at your request.
- Permissions: You can deny photo access and still use other parts of the app, but import or save-to-Photos features will not work without the relevant permission.
Cloud AI processing
Your full video files and projects stay on your device. When you use AI features, the cloud returns a lightweight effect or editing specification, not a regenerated video. Your phone composites that specification onto your footage locally during preview and export.
To generate that specification, we may send compressed frames derived from your video, trimmed audio segments, text prompts you enter, and technical metadata needed to generate effects.
- Google Gemini (Google LLC) may receive compressed frames and trimmed audio for shot analysis, effect planning, and visual-effects generation.
- fal.ai may receive text prompts only for sound generation; it does not receive your video or audio from us.
Derived frames, trimmed audio, and other content sent for AI processing are deleted as soon as processing completes. We do not use your content to train public AI models on your behalf. Account → Revoke AI access clears consent on this device.
Purchase and usage information
Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play Billing on Android. We receive subscription status through RevenueCat, including entitlement and renewal state tied to your account. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
We may record feature type, timestamps, quota debits, error state, and job status to enforce allowances and improve reliability. We do not use this data for advertising and do not sell personal information.

How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or safety. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data retention
- Derived frames, trimmed audio, and AI payloads are deleted as soon as each job completes.
- Video files and projects remain on your device under your control.
- Account data, including email, user ID, and subscription state, is kept while your account is active.
- Usage records are kept while your account is active and removed when you delete your account.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Delete your account in the app: Account → Delete account & data. This removes your account, billing linkage, and usage history from our servers. If you cannot sign in, contact us using the email below. Account deletion does not cancel store billing; cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions.
Children’s privacy
Repurpy is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), for data sent to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of Repurpy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

App Store Privacy alignment
For App Store Connect → App Privacy, relevant categories may include email, user IDs, product interaction, photos or videos, and purchase history. Photos or videos are used for app functionality when users import a selected clip, save exports to Photos, or send derived frames and audio for requested cloud AI processing. These data are not used for tracking and can be deleted in-app or by contacting us.
Google Play Data safety alignment
For Google Play’s Data safety form, relevant categories may include email, user IDs, app interactions, user-generated content derived for processing, and purchase history. AI features require an account and in-app consent before cloud processing. Data is encrypted in transit and can be deleted in-app or by email.
